SASSA Grant Payment Dates For April 2022. SASSA distributes grants to poor and vulnerable South Africans. Now that a new month is about to begin, it’s good to know the payment dates for the different grants. Here are the payment dates for April.
Now that March is coming to an end and Aprilis upon us, SASSA has announced the dates for beneficiaries to get paid for April 2022. SASSA issues grants to vulnerable South Africans all over.

Sassa has provided their Sassa grant payment schedule for April. These are the grant payment dates for April 2022:
- Older Persons Grant – Monday 4 April
- Disability Grant – Tuesday 5 April
- Children’s Grants – Wednesday 6 April
As for the Special Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, it has a separate payment schedule to the usual Sassa grants. The dates listed are arranged according to the last three digits of a beneficiary’s ID number:
During his budget speech earlier this year Finance Minister, Enoch Godongwana announced social grants will increase with effect from April.
The Disability Grant is due to increase by 5.3% from R1 890 to R1 980 (in April) and then R1 990 (in October)
The War Veterans Grant will increase by 5.2% from R1 910 to R2 000 (in April) and then R2 010 (in October)
The Old Age Grant will increase by 5.3% from R1 890 to R1 980 (in April) and then R1 990 (in October). For people older than 75 years the grant will increase by 5.2% from R1 910 to R2 000 (in April) and then R2 010 (in October).

Payments are still currently in progress. So, those who haven’t been paid yet need not worry as they will receive their payment and still get their coming month’s payments again if they still qualify.
SASSA has not provided a date for when payments will stop. Due to this, should you be approved you will then receive payments from that month?
R350 grant appeals will also come to an end at the end of April. This is a mechanism for those who were rejected from receiving the grant and feel this was unfair.

I was declined from receiving the R350 grant reason given to me was *due to age 60+*. I am turning 70 years old in May.
I don’t receive srd grant since it states that I am receiving UIF but I received it once in 2020.
My. dates from Aug-Nov are as follows aug n Sep it was 28/01/22 and Oct n Nov were 29/01/22 but I only got one 350 at Hillcrest Post office until now may I ask what’s the reason they keep telling me to come back next week?
From the start of COVID I was declined.Only from December 2021 I have been approved, which I am very thankful,I have also did a appeal or reconsideration for the previous 3months September 2021, October 2021, November 2021, and up until now it is still pending,I have applied last year.I have never received any other funds or income during the COVID.
