How To Get Your Matric Results

  • Register using the USSD code *120*45856#
  • SMS your exam number to 45856
  • Candidates can also collect statements of results from their schools on 23 February
  • Check your newspaper

SMSs are charged at R1,50 and R1,50 per minute on USSD.

Preparations are well underway in Pretoria for the Matric results announcement by Minister Angie Motshekga.

Minister Angie Motshekga will be announcing the 2020 Matric results on 22 February, alongside Deputy Minister Reginah Mhaule. This event is set to take place at 4PM. The announcement can be viewed on the DBE Facebook page and YouTube channel as well as on TV and radio stations.

Then, learners will be able to get their results statements at their schools tomorrow. When learners receive their statements, they should check that names and identity numbers reflect correctly on their statement of results and report any required corrections to the department before 30 June 2021.

The matric exams concluded on 15 December 2021 after a strenuous academic year. The release of the matric results have been approved by Umalusi, the Quality Council in General and Further Education and Training.
