SASSA R350 Grant Application Status Could Be ‘Referred’

To avoid fraud, SASSA considers a random selection of applications each month to do internal verification and quality assurance. Once the process is completed the applicants who qualify will be processed, whereas others will be ‘referred’ or declined.

During March 2021, President Cyril Ramaphosa declared theΒ National State of Disaster due to the current pandemic.

Within thatΒ time people were unable to work due to the hard lockdown, which is why the president introduced a special COVID-19Β Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) of R350 per month for 6 months to help them get through the month.
