These are the competition specific terms and conditions for the “SPAR 86 Days Of Winning Competition”.

The Competition is open to all SPAR, SUPERSPAR and KWIKSPAR stores trading within the borders of South Africa, and Namibia, and excludes Beiersdorf Consumer Products (Pty) Ltd

Competition Period

The Competition is open from 01 October 2022 and ends at 12am, midnight, on 31 December 2022 (the closing date). Any entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

How To Enter?

** In order to qualify for entry into the Competition, SPAR stores must achieve a minimum value growth of 10% of the Beiersdorf portfolio of products from 01 October 2022 and ends at 12am, midnight, on 31 December 2022, as compared to sales made during the period 01 October 2019, and ends at 12am, midnight, on 31 December 2019 (last year).

** SPAR stores must further implement in-store displays which must remain up for a minimum of 3 month(s) during the period between October 2022 to December 2022 (photographs must be provided in order to qualify).

** Finally, stores must also stock ‘must-stock SKUs as prescribed by Beiersdorf. (Must-stock list provided, stores will only be judged on the SKUs ranged for their stores.).

** The hard targets mentioned above will be used in the selection of the winners. However, total in-store support to Beiersdorf will be considered in the judgement of the winners.

** SPAR stores that form part of a group of stores are required to achieve a minimum growth of 5% for the group, in order to qualify to enter through an individual store.

** Beiersdorf reserves the right to audit stock on hand at the end of the competition period to ensure that this is within a reasonable quantity.

** Growth will be calculated year on year, weighted according to prior year contribution based on SPAR DC to store data over the specified period, as provided by SPAR insights.


** Beiersdorf will select 5 stores each month over the 3 month Competition period who will stand a chance to win the following prizes based on the criteria mentioned in point five (5)

** The best store will win a cash prize being R25 000 in cash, the runner-up store winner will win a cash prize in the amount of R20 000, the third placing store will win a cash prize in the amount of R15 000, the fourth best store will win a cash prize in the amount of R10 000 and the fifth best store will win a cash prize in the amount of R5 000.

** In addition to the prizes in 8 above, at the end of the Competition, all qualifying stores will go into a grand draw prize and one winner will receive R100 000.

** New stores that do not have a full year trading base and stores that have changed their format (i.e. from KWIKSPAR to SPAR/SPAR to SUPERSPAR/KWIKSPAR to SUPERSPAR, or vice versa) are excluded from participating in the Competition.

Contacting Winners

The winning stores will be notified telephonically within 6 weeks from the end of the Competition and they will be required to verify their details.

Competition Rules

** Beiersdorf reserves the right to use the images taken of the winning stores’ shelf displays for publicity purposes in any manner it deems fit, without any remuneration being payable to the winning stores or representatives of the winning stores.

** Beiersdorf reserves the right to change or terminate the Competition immediately without notice.

** In the event of such change or termination, all entering stores and their representatives agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against Beiersdorf, its directors, employees and its agents.

** Neither Beiersdorf nor its agents, distributors, nor any of the Promoter’s directors, officers, employees or agents shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participants in connection with this Competition or the use of the prizes.

** Beiersdorf’s decision shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

** All risks and ownership of the prizes shall pass to the winnings stores and/or their representatives on transfer/delivery thereof and hence all of Beiersdorf’s obligations in regard to the Competition as well as in regard to the prizes shall terminate.

** Beiersdorf shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the entrants and eligible winners for entering the Competition or in claiming any prizes, where applicable.

** All the information provided or related to this Competition shall be managed, captured and approved by Beiersdorf, and will not be used for any other purpose than for execution of the Competition and in line with applicable legislation.

** Data collected via entry for this Competition will be stored for as long as it is legally required to and in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy,

** Participation in the Competition constitutes the unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions.
