Lay-By

Q : What is lay-by?

A : A lay-by agreement is a contract between the customer and Mr Price. It allows a customer to select product and pay for it over 3 months. There is no credit checks or interest charged. The selected items will be kept in the stockroom until the full amount is paid. Once the full amount is paid the items are released to the customer.

Q : What do you need to apply for lay-by?

A : You must be 18 years or older to enter a lay-by agreement, RSA citizens must produce their ID book or ID card and for Foreign Nationals, a passport must be produced. (Sorry, no driver’s licenses) The customer must pay a minimum deposit of 10% of the full lay-by purchase and settle the balance within 3 months.

Q : Why can’t a driver’s license be used as identification?

A : This is to safeguard our customers and safeguard the company from fraudulent documents.
