** By entering this Competition and/or accepting any prize, all participants, entrants and winners agree to be bound by the terms and conditions below applicable to this Competition

(“Rules”) and the Promotional Competition Rules (“General Promotional Competition Rules”) applicable to promotional competitions run by Yum Restaurants International Proprietary Limited and/or its agencies (collectively, the “Organisers”) from time to time, which General Promotional Competition Rules shall be read together with these Rules.

Competition Period

** The Competition will begin at 07:00 on 26 September 2017, and will end at 23:59 on 28 February 2022 (“Competition Period”). No entries will be accepted after the Competition Period.

Eligible Entrants

In order to be eligible for participation in this Competition, an entrant must :

2.1. be a South African citizen;

2.2. have the permission of their parent or guardian to enter the Competition and win the prize and to attend the venue for the prize;

2.3. reside within or attend a school in South Africa;

2.4. be a Mini-Cricketer;

2.5. be part of a school Mini-Cricket team;

2.6. be between the ages of:

2.6.1. in the case of boys, 6 (six) and 12 (twelve) years; and

2.6.2. in the case of girls, 6 (six) and 13 (thirteen) years; and

2.7. undertake to abide by the Special Rules pertaining to the Competition, as stipulated in clause 6 (Special Rules), failing which, the winner shall forfeit the prize on the grounds of ineligibility, and each entrant represents and warrants that by entering in or participating in this Competition, he/she has full eligibility to do so. The Organisers reserve the right to request proof that entrants have met these eligibility requirements.

Furthermore :

2.8. previous 1st prize winners of this competition (in the 2016 -17 season) will not be eligible to win 1st prize for the Competition this season, but will be eligible to win 2nd prize; and

2.9. previous 2nd and 3rd prize winners of this competition (in prior seasons) will be eligible to win first prize for this Competition

How to Participate

3. Entry into the competition :

3.1. To enter the Competition, and stand a chance for your school cricket team to win any of the prizes, eligible entrants will be required to obtain the permission of their parent or guardian and dial *120*7535# from a cellular phone or enter online on the Website under the “Kids vs Proteas Tour” tab, the entrant will then be prompted to:

3.1.1. provide his/her full name;

3.1.2. provide his/her parent’s/guardian’s mobile phone number as well as a valid e-mail address of such parent/guardian, provided that no entrant will be excluded from the Competition if no e-mail address is provided;

3.1.3. provide the province where the entrants primary school is based; and

3.1.4. provide the name of the primary school currently attended by the entrant.

3.2. Entrants who have entered the competition as set out in paragraph 3.1 above, may enter the Competition more than once and will automatically be entered into an upcoming draw for the chance for their school cricket team to win a prize in accordance with paragraph 4 (Nature of Prizes and Prize Allocation) below for the duration of the Competition Period.

Nature of Prizes & Prize Allocation

4.1. 1st Prize: To play against the South African National Cricket Team (“Proteas”) in the KFC Mini-Cricket Kids vs Proteas Tour

4.1.1. Entrants and their school cricket team stand a chance of being randomly drawn as 1 (one) of 3 (three) winners who would each win an opportunity to participate in 1 (one) KFC Mini-Cricket training session, as facilitated by a former Protea, at their school, and play 1 (one) match against the Proteas at their school or an appropriate venue as determined by the Organisers.

4.1.2. The preliminary dates for the 3 (three) training sessions for each of the 3 (three) respective regions, which the Organiser reserves the right to reschedule at any point in this Competition, are as set out hereunder:

4.1.2.1. 1st Training Session date (Winner 1): to take place within two weeks before the 1st match, it will be confirmed by the winning school and KFC; Venue: (TBC after the winning school is drawn);

4.1.2.2. 2nd Training Session date (Winner 2): to take place within two weeks before the 2nd match, it will be confirmed by the winning school and KFC; Venue: (TBC after the winning school is drawn);

4.1.2.3. 3rd Training Session date (Winner 3): to take place within two weeks before the 3rd match, it will be confirmed by the winning school and KFC; Venue: (TBC after the winning school is drawn).

4.1.3. The preliminary dates for the 3 (three) KFC Mini-Cricket Kids vs Proteas Tour matches against the Proteas at each of the 3 (three) winning schools, which the Organiser reserves the right to reschedule at any point in this Competition, but will set out its best endeavour to ensure the game takes place at the winning school. The games are as set out here under:

4.1.3.1. 1st KFC Mini-Cricket Kids vs Proteas Tour game: 19th of February 2022

4.1.3.2. 2nd KFC Mini-Cricket Kids vs Proteas Tour game: 22nd February 2022

4.1.3.3. 3rd KFC Mini-Cricket Kids vs Proteas Tour game: 27th of March 2022

4.1.4. The 1st prize winners will be selected from each of the 3 (three) regions outlined below, at a series of randomised draws, which will take place between 16th January 2022 and 2nd March 2022, at the office of the Organiser.

4.1.4.1. The 3 (three) regional splits are:

4.1.4.1.1. Gauteng region

4.1.4.1.3. Eastern Cape; Kwa-Zulu Natal Northern Cape; Mpumalanga, North-West, Free State and Limpopo.

4.1.5. The Organisers reserve the right to change the preliminary dates and to determine the venues for the training sessions and for the matches against the Proteas.

4.2. 2nd Prize: KFC Mini-Cricket Equipment

4.2.1. Entrants stand a chance of being randomly drawn as 1 (one) of 10 (ten) winners to receive 10 (ten) KFC Mini-Cricket equipment set for their respective nominated school.

4.2.2. Each KFC Mini-Cricket equipment set will contain: 2 (two) bats, 2 (two) stumps, 2 (two) Mini – cricket balls and 1 (one) equipment bag.

4.2.3. 2nd Prize winners will be selected from all the regions outlined below, at a series of randomised draws, which will take place on the 2nd March 2022, at the office of the Organiser.

4.2.3.1. Eastern Cape; Kwa-Zulu Natal Northern Cape; Mpumalanga, North-West, Free State; Limpopo, western cape and Gauteng region

4.3. The Competition prizes are not transferrable from the prize winners to any other person and may not be exchanged for its cash value.
