City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality invites unemployed graduates to apply Internship Programme 2023 /2024.

This internship programme is an intervention by the City of
Johannesburg to address the growing demand by tertiary institution for
students to undergo on-the-job exposure, as a pre-requisite to acquire
an academic qualification or as a requirement after the acquisition of
an academic qualification to obtain experiential training.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of local government will be an added advantage;
- Strong phone and verbal communication with active listening skills and telephone etiquette;
- Computer literacy;
- Must be able to work extended hours as and when required;
- Ages between 18 – 35 years; and
- Only City of Joburg residents will be considered
The following Internships are open for applications:
Graphic Designer Intern
Requirements:
- Diploma in Graphic Design or relevant field at NQF 6 (subjects that include visual arts may be an advantage);
- Must be creative and have know-how of image processing software;
- Portfolio of most recent work/assignments must be included in the application;
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite/Adobe Creative Cloud is an advantage;
Copy Writer/Journalist Intern
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Journalism or Copy-writing at NQF 6 level;
- Must be creative, detail-oriented and able to write coherently (i.e. good grammar and punctuation skills);
- Basic understanding of the inner workings of a newsroom and editorial processes;
- Basic understanding of how to leverage social media, find out things and get in contact with people and spot trends;
- Ability to write and translate content into at least three (3) different official languages
TV and Radio Presenter Intern
- Requirements: Diploma or degree in TV/Radio presenting /communication / journalism / creative arts / media or film studies orany other related course;
Marketer Intern
- Requirements: Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, PR or related field;
Multi-media Designer Intern
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in multi-media design, graphic design or a related field;
- Artistic portfolio of most recent accomplished work to be included in application;
Billing (Back Office) Intern
- Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Finance or related field;
Credit Management: Outbound Collections Intern
- Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Financial environment or Credit management/Customer service;
Customer Relations Services Centre Intern
- Relevant National Diploma/Degree in Finance;
Business Planning and Organisational Performance Intern
- Relevant B Degree or National Diploma;
