Internship Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

This internship programme is an intervention by the City of

Johannesburg to address the growing demand by tertiary institution for

students to undergo on-the-job exposure, as a pre-requisite to acquire

an academic qualification or as a requirement after the acquisition of

an academic qualification to obtain experiential training.

Requirements:

Knowledge of local government will be an added advantage;
Strong phone and verbal communication with active listening skills and telephone etiquette;
Computer literacy;
Must be able to work extended hours as and when required;
Ages between 18 – 35 years; and
Only City of Joburg residents will be considered

Graphic Designer Intern

Requirements:

Diploma in Graphic Design or relevant field at NQF 6 (subjects that include visual arts may be an advantage);
Must be creative and have know-how of image processing software;
Portfolio of most recent work/assignments must be included in the application;
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite/Adobe Creative Cloud is an advantage;

Copy Writer/Journalist Intern

Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Journalism or Copy-writing at NQF 6 level;
Must be creative, detail-oriented and able to write coherently (i.e. good grammar and punctuation skills);
Basic understanding of the inner workings of a newsroom and editorial processes;
Basic understanding of how to leverage social media, find out things and get in contact with people and spot trends;
Ability to write and translate content into at least three (3) different official languages

TV and Radio Presenter Intern

Requirements: Diploma or degree in TV/Radio presenting /communication / journalism / creative arts / media or film studies orany other related course;

Marketer Intern

Requirements: Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, PR or related field;

Multi-media Designer Intern

Requirements:

Degree or diploma in multi-media design, graphic design or a related field;
Artistic portfolio of most recent accomplished work to be included in application;

Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Finance or related field;
