- Fire Fighter I, Fire Fighter II, Hazmat Awareness and Hazmat Awareness, SAESI, accredited or equivalent qualification
- First Aid Level 3
- Risk Medic Qualification
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Trainee Fire Fighter, Fire Fighter or Risk Medic
- Satisfy Departmental Proficiency Assessment
- Ability to communicate in both IsiZulu and English
- Valid Code 10 Drivers License
