What is Senior Management Service (SMS)?
The course is applicable to public servants and citizens who wish to apply for a position in the Senior Management Service (SMS) of the Public Service. To strengthen the recruitment process at Senior Management Service level and to ensure that senior managers are competent in their job role.
Qualifications Required For Senior Management Service
Minimum qualifications and experience required to be appointed into the Senior Management Service of the Public Service.

SMS Course Accreditation
This SMS course is non-credit bearing. Once all course requirements have been met, participants will receive a Certificate of Successful Completion.
SMS Course Duration
Participants can learn at a time and pace that suits them. It takes approximately 120 hours to complete the SMS course inclusive of all assessment activities.
