Competition Period :

** The competition runs from Monday, 29 May until Sunday, 11 June 2022 (the “Competition Period”). No entries will be accepted outside of this period.

Who can enter :

You are entitled to participate in this competition if

(i) you are at least 18 years old / reside in South Africa;

(ii) it is lawful for you to be awarded the prize.

** You may NOT participate if you are a supplier of goods or services in connection with this competition, or if you are a director, member, partner, employee, agent of, or consultant to takealot.com or any other entity which directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by takealot.com, or if you are any of the aforementioned persons’ spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister or business partner.

How to enter :

** To enter this competition you must tweet the hashtag #PassTheParcel at @TAKEALOT on Twitter.

** To qualify your tweet has to include the @TAKEALOT handle and the hashtag #PassTheParcel.

** To participate in this competition you require a Twitter profile.

** Entries to win each product prize will be open until the prize has been won or until the *specified date on each product’s #PassTheParcel competition post.

How many times you can enter :

** You are allowed to enter as many times as you like during the Competition Period.

Entry fees :

** There are no entry fees to participate in the competition, and no additional charges involved in acting as set out in section 4 above.

Prize :

** We’re giving away four (4) product prizes at random over the course of the Competition Period.

** Takealot reserves the right to substitute the prizes for an alternative prize at their discretion should the prize awarded not be available due to unforeseen circumstances.

** The prizes are non-transferable, cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash, credit or products.

All products are eligible to be won until they’ve been won by a participant or the offer expires*.

Winner :

** Winners for each product prize will be awarded via a randomised computer allocation from all valid entries received as per point 4 above, during the specified periods (days) as per point 7.1 to 7.4 above.

** The winner will automatically be notified on Twitter of their winnings should they have successfully “unwrapped” the prize on offer. Winners will be prompted to contact Takealot via Direct Message on Twitter to claim their prize. Winners have 24 hours to claim their prize on Twitter via Direct Message.

** Takealot will request the winners’ email address in order to contact them to confirm their full name, surname, ID number and telephone number (the “Participant Information”).

** Takealot will make two direct attempts via email to obtain such information in a 48 hour period. Once we have received this information, we will email the prize to the winners in 1-3 working days, subject to section 10 below.

** Proof of identity may be required before issuing prizes. Regarding the application of these rules and the selection of a winner in terms hereof, takealot.com’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into with a competition participant other than the winner.
