Cue Masters GNPA Opens Championships

** Cue Masters Pool Club was established in 1986, and has since grown into the biggest pool club in Gauteng North boasting 24 Pool Tables. Cue Masters is the head office of the Gauteng North Pool Association (GNPA) and Tshwane Blackball Federation (TBF).

Important Dates

31 January 2022 : Premier & Super Team Entry Closes

** 50% League (Premier & Super) Fees Due (Only players that have paid their 50% league fees will be allowed to play)

** Players with outstanding fees from previous leagues will not be allowed to participate in the Opens league until all fees are paid up to date.

06 February 2022 : Premier & Super League Starts

17 February 2022 : GNPA Annual General Meeting

30 March 2022 : A & B League Entry Closes

** All League (Premier, Super, A & B League) Fees Due (All players that haven’t paid the full amount due will not be considered for Trials or SA’s).

** Scores will be hidden for all non-paid players in all leagues until fully paid.

1 April 2022 : Three-Man Competition

3 June 2022 : Non-Provincial & Provincial Singles Competition

29 July 2022 : Opens Doubles Competition

16 August 2022 : Trials Players Meeting

19 August 2022 : Opens/Juniors Trials Day 1

Fees

Player League Fees :

** Premier – R500

** Super – R400

** A League – R280

** B League – R280

Club Fees :

** Club Team Fee – R300 per team (Due 28 February 2022 for the Premier & Super Teams and 30 April 2022 for A & B Teams)

** 2022 Club Affiliation – R500 (Due 28 February 2022)

2022 Opens Trials & Team Selection

** To be eligible to be selected for trials or SA’s a player must play at least 75% of league games and all fees must be paid up to date . Players will be selected/invited based on their league actual average.

** Top 12 in the Premier will be selected to the A1 and A2 teams respectively and does not have to play trials. The executive committee will give consideration to players that participate and has participated during the current league, competitions and past championships (Results & Attitude) to allocate the top 12 performers in the Premier to A1 and A2.

** The following players will be invited to trials to select the remaining 15 players.

Trials players will be invited as follows :

** Premier – 18 – 20 Players

** Super – 5 – 10 Players (% must be higher than the lowest average of the last invited premier player)

** A & B – 1 – 5 Players (% must be higher than the lowest average of the last invited premier player)

** The executive committee will give consideration to players that participate and has participated during the current league, competitions and past championships (Results & Attitude) in selecting the final 15 players to make up the rest of A2 and B1.

The below is a guideline in how teams will be selected :

2022 Opens Championships

** Pool South Africa’s 8-Ball SA Tournaments for 2022 will take place in Vereeniging in the Sedibeng region. The venue will be the Vereeniging Town Hall.

Opens : – 7 October 2022 – 13 October 2022
