FAQs

How do I redeem my online tickets?

To hop on, simply print out your ticket and present it to the bus driver. Don’t have a printer handy? Bring your barcode number to a City Sightseeing tour office and redeem your ticket. Alternatively, have your barcode scanned by your bus driver as you hop on the bus.

Do you have card facilities on the bus?

Yes, all our buses are fully equipped with card facilities. Please note, however, that we do not accept American Express cards.

Are your buses wheelchair friendly?

Yes, majority of our buses on the Red City Tour and Blue Mini Peninsula Tour in Cape Town are wheelchair friendly. All our buses in Joburg are wheelchair friendly. If you’re unsure or require assistance, please ask one of our friendly staff members to help you.

Do you have seat belts on your buses?

Advertisements

By law a passenger bus is not required to have seat belts on all its seats. The only seats that do require a seat belt are the ones that have no seat directly in front of them. For this reason, we have a limited number of buses equipped with seat belts.

How long are tickets valid for?

If tickets are purchased at one our of tour offices, they are valid for that day only (or for that day and the following day if you’re buying a two-day ticket). If tickets are bought online, they are valid for 14 days from the date of purchase.

From where can I start the tour?

Cape Town :

** You can start the tour at any of the scheduled stops along the bus route, but we recommend our tour offices outside the Two Oceans Aquarium (stop 1) and at 81 Long Street (stop 5).

Joburg

** You can hop on at any of the scheduled stops along the bus route, but we recommend you start your tour from The Zone @ Rosebank (stop 1) – the Gautrain station is walking distance and there’s ample parking available if arriving by car (see parking tariffs here).

** Another option, if you’re using private transport, is to start at Constitution Hill (stop 5) if you’re using private transport. At Constitution Hill you can hop on the Green Tour or Red City Tour.
