Cape Town Pay your electricity bill
** There are three ways you pay your electricity bill: online with the City, online with other pay services, or over the counter.

Pay your bill online with e-Services
Please Note :
** If you are an Eskom customer, you will need to visit the Eskom website or call their customer line on 0800 55 599.
Step 1 :
** First you will need to register a municipal account.
** This enables registered customers to access and manage their municipal accounts online.
Step 2 :
** After you have registered, you will be sent a username and password via email; please use these to log in.
Step 3 :
** Once you are logged in, you will need to go to the ‘Rates and services Accounts’ tab where you will be able to find your electricity account information and make a payment online.
Pay online with other services
** Account payments can be made online via, for example, PayCity or EasyPay. Both sites offer the same service.
Step 1:
** Visit either PayCity or EasyPay.
Step 2 :
** Follow the instructions to register and create an account.
** You will need your name, street address or erf number, ID number and municipal account number.
Step 3 :
** Find the accounts tab and make your payment.
Over the counter
Step 1:
** You will need to have your latest bill or account reference.
Step 2:
** Take your bill or account number to any Post Office, major retailer or bank listed at the bottom of the bill.

** When you pay your bill, ensure you get a receipt.
