UWC Leadership Incubator Programme Applications 2021 is Open

Are you a student at UWC and looking to become a leader? Well look no further, UWC is inviting all their students, who have an interest in taking formal leadership roles with a strong focus on making a difference within and beyond the UWC campus.

The Division for Student Development and Support at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) is inviting you to apply for the Student Leadership Incubator Programme. The Student Leadership Incubator Programme is one of the key projects in the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC).

The programme was established to offer aspirant student leaders, who wish to form part of formal student governance, an opportunity to engage in leadership conversations and training workshops.

These students will also be given assignments designed to support programme implementation and evaluation.

UWC would like to invite all students who have an interest in taking formal leadership roles with a strong focus on making a difference within and beyond UWC campus.

This programme aims to enhance the students’ understanding of what the elected leaders’ roles involves and which qualities are expected of them.

This new initiative is meant to strengthen the role of student leadership and deepen democratic principles while inculcating the value of servant leadership.

UWC believes that student leaders have a role to play in the decision making process and governance of the university.

So if student leadership in any way interests you, then this is the initiative for you.
