Trade Related Bursary Opportunity With Gibela Rail Transport 2022 Is Open . The bursaries, which are each valid for a year but can be renewed, are open to South African students across the country with a written acceptance letter from a university to study engineering, supply chain and logistics, IT or finance. Students at technical vocational education and training (TVET) colleges can also apply for bursaries to study a range of disciplines. Successful students will receive financial support from Gibela for both their tuition and accommodation.

University and University of Technology students:

  • Accounting
  • Computer Science
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronic Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Logistics Management
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Metallurgical Engineering
  • Supply Chain

HOW TO APPLY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

TVET students:

  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric with a minimum of level 4 for Mathematics, Science and English
  • Studying or intend on studying within one of the aforementioned field of study
  • Studying or accepted to study at a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution in South Africa
  • Current N3/ N4 students are welcome to apply
  • Strong academic record
  • In financial need

University and University of Technology students:

  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric with a minimum of level 6 for Mathematics, Physical Science and Accounting, and a minimum of level 5 for English
  • Studying or intend on studying within one of the aforementioned field of study
  • Studying or accepted to study at a University or University of Technology in South Africa
  • Current 1st and 2nd year students are welcome to apply
  • Strong academic record
  • In financial need

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE BURSARY

Students who meet the minimum eligibility criteria, can apply by submitting copies of the following supporting documentation (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):

  • South African ID document (certified copy)
  • Full academic record (certified copies)
  • Short Curriculum Vitae
  • TVET students: proof of acceptance for admission from a University or University of Technology in South Africa (on letterhead)
  • University and University of Technology students: proof of acceptance for admission from a TVET institution in South Africa (on letterhead)
