SASSA Releases Payment Schedule For Grants 2022

SASSA has said when beneficiaries should expect payments for their grants for the 2022/2023 financial year. SASSA wants those who encounter any incidents of fraud or suspect it to report it immediately.

SASSA has released a payment schedule for grants for the rest of the financial year of 2021/2022.

The schedule goes as follows:

Old Age and linked grants

  • 6 April
  • 4 May
  • 3 June
  • 6 July
  • 3 August
  • 3 September
  • 5 October
  • 3 November
  • 1 December
  • 4 January
  • 3 February
  • 3 March

Disability and linked grants

  • 7 April
  • 5 May
  • 4 June
  • 7 July
  • 4 August
  • 6 September
  • 6 October
  • 4 November
  • 2 December
  • 5 January
  • 4 February
  • 4 March

All unlinked children's grants

This includes Foster Care grants, Care Dependency grants and Child Support grants.

From this month onwards, SASSA beneficiaries will see their grants be increased. The increases are as followed:

  • R30 increase for the old age to R1890
  • R30 increase for the disability grant to R1890
  • R30 increase for the care dependency grants to R1890
  • R30 increase in the war veterans grant to R1910
  • R15 increase in the child support grant to R460
  • R10 increase for the foster care grant to R1050

SASSA has the mission to fight fraud and wants everyone to play their role in the fight against corruption. SASSA stated, “Members of the public must report fraud and corruption they witness anywhere – no matter how small or big”.
