SABC 1 Made In My Image Competition

Made in My Image provides the opportunity for the aspirant social photographers and ordinary viewer to showcase their exciting images with South Africa.

Viewers will get rewarded via recognition of their social media handles to showcase who supplied the image as well as to get likeminded individuals to follow them on their social media platforms.

Eligibility

The competition is open only to legal South African residents, over the age of 18 – 65, Males and Females. Employees of the SABC (along with its contractors, affiliates and subsidiaries) and their families are not eligible

Competition Period

The Made In My Image competition will start on the 14th of December 2022 and end on the 31st of December 2022.

How To Submit?

Go to the official website, click on “click here to submit” button on home page

Enter the following details to submit the contest page.

1. Enter Name

2. Enter Surname

3. Enter Email Address

4. Please provide your social media handle

Note :

Upload your images below. Images should not exceed 15MB. Kindly rename your images using your Social Media Handle,

Eg: @InMyImage_01, @InMyImage_02, @InMyImage_03

8. Tick the checkbox to confirm that you have read the Terms & Conditions

9. Click on Submit button.

Entry

a. Participants of ‘Made in My Image’ on-air competition will be required to submit a maximum of 3 pictures per week.

b. All submitted pictures must be in the required quality of 1920 x 1080. All pictures must be shot in landscape mode. Failure to comply with these requirements will result in disqualification.

c. Participants will be required to go to the SABC 1 Website where they will be redirected to the Made In My Image portal to sign up to submit their entry.

d. Participants are required to read and accept the terms & conditions of entry which will be available on the portal as well as SABC 1 Social Media pages.

e. Images/photos/pictures promoting brands and images containing explicit nudity or vulgarity, violating public policy or accepted principles of morality will be automatically excluded from the competition.

Selection

a. A panel of judges comprising of SABC 1 ON AIR and Marketing Personnel will select a number of winning pictures per month based on the quality and the interest factor of pictures.

The decision of the panel of SABC judges is final on all the selected images/photos/pictures, as verified by Auditors.

b. Pictures that are selected/approved will only be used on television and on social media platforms.

Use Of Images

Pictures that have been selected and approved will be used for approximately one year only.

General Conditions

a. Participants hereby grant SABC 1 a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to broadcast, publish, store, reproduce, distribute, syndicate, and otherwise use and exhibit the submission of entry (along with their names, voices, performance and/or likenesses) in all media now known, or that later come into being, for purposes of trade or advertising without further compensation.

Participants represent and warrant that they have full legal right, power and authority to grant SABC 1 the foregoing if applicable, have secured all necessary rights from any participants in, and contributors to, their Submission in order to grant such a license.

b. SABC 1 is under no obligation to use any submission or return the submissions to participants.
