JAMB has released the results of candidates that participated in the 2023 UTME. If you sat for the 2023 UTME you can now access your JAMB Result Online or SMS using your Phone.
The JAMB Result 2023 can be accessed using two methods. This includes checking the 2023 UTME Results Online and Short Message Service (SMS). Each of these methods is explained respectively in the following section.
How to Check JAMB UTME Result Online
You can as well check your UTME Result online for FREE on the official JAMB Portal. Follow the below steps to check your result:
1. Go to JAMB result checking portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/
2. Enter your JAMB Registration Number or Email Address in the required field.
3. Click on the ‘Check My Results’ button
4. Your result should load up if it’s ready.
How to Check JAMB Result Via SMS
If you don’t have a browsing phone and no access to the internet, you can still get your result via your phone SMS.
What do you need to check your JAMB Result via SMS?
- Your phone with the number you registered JAMB with.
- Also, N50 airtime to send the SMS.
How to check your JAMB Result by Phone via SMS.
1. Using the number you used during registration, go to your phone SMS and send UTMERESULT in capital letters, please take note of that.
2. Then send it as an SMS to “55019“.
3. Your result will be sent to your phone as an SMS within two to three minutes.
As I said earlier, It will cost you N50 only to send the SMS, therefore you must have airtime of at least N50 on your line. If your SMS is sent successfully, you should receive a reply as an SMS shortly after.

Possible outcomes of 2023/2023 UTME results via SMS
The following are the responses to be expected:
- If a candidate uses a phone number that was not used to register, a message will be sent to him thus:
- A candidate with a result will receive the message: “Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows… (and the details will be provided).
- If a result is withheld, a “Result Withheld” message will be sent to the candidate.‘This phone number was not used for registration.”
- If a candidate belongs to the category being given the benefit of the doubt, the message to the person will be: “Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.”
- If a candidate was absent, s/he would get “CANDIDATE ABSENT” as feedback
- A candidate that was ABSENT WITH REGISTRATION NUMBER also CANCELLED will be so informed.
- “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall” will be sent to a candidate who gained unauthorized access to the examination hall.
How do I Print the Original JAMB Result Slip?
The JAMB result slip costs N1,000 (one thousand naira only), and it comes with passport photography affixed to it.
