ISS Internships 2023
An internship is an opportunity offered by an employer to potential employees, called interns, to work at a firm for a fixed period of time.
To qualify for the internship, you must possess all the required qualifications and meet all requirements before applying for the Institute for Security Studies, ISS Internship 2023.
The ISS is looking for an intern to join its dynamic Communication team in Pretoria. The successful candidate must be able to write content for social and digital media, undertake graphic design, apply attention to detail and work quickly in a busy environment. The intern will report to the head of Communication.
Overview of duties
- Writing for print and digital communication
- Loading website content and scheduling social media posts
- Assisting with the creation of visual communication products
- Ensuring that ISS communication is modern, visible and relevant
Overview of requirements
- 3-year tertiary qualification in communication/journalism/marketing or a field relevant to the work of the ISS
- Excellent English verbal and writing skills (proficiency in French will be an advantage)
- Experience in graphic design, photography and videography
- Experience in uploading and formatting website content using a CMS
- Software knowledge requirements: Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat
