Herschelle Gibbs (born 23 February 1974) is a South African cricket coach and former cricketer, who played all formats of the game for fourteen years.

Herschelle Gibbs made his international debut against Kenya when he was 22 years old. By playing at number four, he scored 17 runs off 21 balls, and the Proteas went on to win the match by 202 runs.
He did not have a major batsmanship performance until 1999, when he scored his first century against the West Indies. Gibbs was making diving stops and saving vital runs the entire time. Gibbs had a solid year on the field in 1999, scoring 211 runs and developing as a fielder against New Zealand.
Gibbs is only the third player in ODI history to achieve three hundreds in a row. In three games against Kenya, India, and Bangladesh, he scored 116, 116, and 153* points, respectively. He finished on 97*, just 3 runs short of his fourth consecutive century.
In the 2011/12 season, he played for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League, scoring 302 runs in seven matches to help his club reach the final.
Gibbs scored a critical 53 runs for the Deccan Chargers in the 2009 IPL season, which helped them win the title.
Gibbs retired from international cricket on May 10, 2010, after playing his final T20 match against Pakistan. Pakistan won the game by 11 runs after he was dismissed for just three runs. Gibbs has almost 14200 international runs at an average of 38 throughout his career.
Gibbs was named head coach of the Rotterdam Rhinos for the inaugural Euro T20 Slam cricket competition in July of this year. Prior to this, he coached clubs in the Shpageeza Cricket League as well as Kuwait’s national team. He was named Head Coach of the Colombo Kings for the inaugural edition of the Lanka Premier League in November 2020. He was named the new head coach of the Karachi Kings in the PSL on January 2, 2021.
